Andrew Treloar (DART Project Architect)

Dr Andrew Treloar has a B.A. (Hons - first class), majoring in Germanic Languages and Linguistics, a Grad. Dip. in computer science, and an M. A. with the topic "A Computer-assisted analysis of characterisation in Virginia Woolf's 'The Waves'", all from Melbourne University. In 1999 he received his Ph. D. from Monash University with the topic 'Hypermedia Online Publishing - Transformation of the Scholarly Journal'.

Andrew is currently Director and Chief Architect for the Australian ResearCH Enabling enviRonment ARCHER project, which is building on the tools developed by DART.  A major part of this role is implementing the Monash University Information Management Strategy. He is also the ARROW Technical Architect and DART Project Architect. He has held a number of management roles within ITS in the Web and Internet technologies area.

For much of his career he was an IT academic, rising to the rank of Senior Lecturer in Information Management at Deakin University. He has taught extensively in the areas of the Internet, database management, project management and electronic information sources.

He has also consulted in Australia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, South Korea and Fiji.

His research areas include institutional repositories and scholarly communication.

Robyn Polan (DART Project Co-ordinator)

Dr Robyn Polan has more than 30 years experience working in IT in systems development, operations support and project management. She has held many positions with a major telecommunications provider and in academia. She has many years experience in object-oriented software engineering specializing in analysis and design. She was recently awarded a PhD from Monash University for "Engineering Rapidly Adapting Business Processes using Aspect Oriented Techniques".

Robyn Polan

Anthony Beitz (DART Integration Project Manager)

Anthony Beitz has Bachelor degrees in Electrical Engineering (Hons - first class) and Science (majoring in Computer Science) from the University of Queensland.

Anthony started his career as a Researcher with Telstra's Research Laboratories. After 13 years with Telstra he rose to the position of Lead Researcher. In 2006 he joined the DART Project as the Integration Project Manager.

His research interests include e-Research, Text Mining, and Artificial Intelligence.

When Anthony is not in the office, he is usually enjoying the great outdoors.

Jeff McDonell (DART Project Director)

Dr Jeff McDonell has a Ph D in Theoretical Chemistry (LaTrobe 1975), MBA (Monash 1991) and BSc (Hons) (LaTrobe 1970). He has worked as an IT Director at a number of universities, such as University of Southern Queensland (Toowoomba), Lingnan University (Hong Kong) and IT Manager at Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne).

Jeff is now ITSC Director at Lingnan University (Hong Kong).
